Revered by the Dracaena as Shul Roland Elric, Avatar of Sol and the Leviathan, known to the Kingdom of Arkania as Ser Roland of House Elric.
He is the twin brother of Kaliya and a member of the journeyman group, the Companions until the Battle of Korda where he was betrayed by Nayus and left for dead. Years later it was revealed that he survived his wounds and was taken to the home of dracaena—where he met his biological father, Sargeras.
He is the main protagonist in Elric.

- Roland is very loosely based on Duncan Rosenblatt from the CGI film and comic series Firebreather, on which Elric (formerly known as Damijan) is also very loosely derived from.
